Yulia Monalisa

 

Hi, I am Yulia monalisa. I was born in Padang, 1st July 1994. My dream is become a Supervisor in a Sharia Bank, because I am very interested in learning about Islamic finance.

I have been with As Sakinah since 8 years ago, initially because I was aspired to memorize Al-Quran and study religious lesson. However, as the time goes, I am also very passionate in helping the foundation to provide for underprivileged children.

When I started joining the foundation, I received education fund from As Sakinah to be able to continue my study. I am currently in university, learning about Islamic finance as I am hoping. At the same time, I am also helping the team as head coordinator of Rumah Tahfizh, our centers for memorizing Al Qur'an. We currently have 10 centers, mostly located in Bambu Apus village. My job is to arrange the schedules for tahfizh classes and assigning youth teachers to help the students memorize Al Qu'ran.

 

As a foundation As Sakinah has a same principle with me, which is to be a more useful person to other people. I am very happy with As Sakinah and my best moment with this foundation is when I have to recite Al Quran in front of my Al Quran teacher before continuing my study to university.

 

As a muslim, I believe that with Al Quran we can get better life. Also, with education, I believe we could create more global minded generation. Therefore, I am really hopeful that As Sakinah can create many hafidz Al-Quran with excellent education background continuously over the years .
