A little bit about Dini

Dini was one of the first girls to join As Sakinah. She is the sister of Gilang. When we found Gilang abandoned by his parents in a shack, Dini was with him. She took care of her baby brother until now. 

 

She loves to travel. Every time As Sakinah has a trip, Dini is the first one that jumps out with happiness. Although she is young, she is very responsible. She helps managing Qur’an class for the younger children while studying at school. But she has one weakness: ice cream. She could never resist having them!

 

What do you want to do when you grow up?

Be an obgyn

 

What is your favorite subject at school and why?

Al Qur’an and Hadith, because by learning this subject I can learn about Islamic law.

 

What is your hobby?

Cooking, reading, singing and writing.

 

What is your motto in life?

“Work hard to be successful!”

 

What is your most memorable moment in As Sakinah?

I can’t pick one, so here are some of them:

 

- Trip to the Old Town in Jakarta. It was my first time to visit the Old Town. I learned a lot about historical places in Jakarta, and also had a great time exploring the town by bike.

 

- Learned how to dance Saman from Dissa very quickly, because we had to perform it in “Happy Holiday” in two weeks! But we were the first Saman Dance team in As Sakinah. Now, we get to teach our younger sisters how to do it.

 

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Mecca with my family and to Japan as well
